Welcome to the MEDem Service Gateway Hub!
From here you will be able to access the different service-providing components of the MEDem (Monitoring Electoral Democracy research infrastructure) Online Platform.
Some of them are already available in prototype form, under development, or currently provided from other projects and institutions.
Developed expressly for MEDem, ATLAS is a working prototype (in fact already a Minimum Viable Product) of what will become the MEDem Concept and Measurement Map, part of the broader MEDem infrastructure which aims at providing innovative tools for data linkage and harmonization, making possible a radical breakthrough towards the next generation of quantitative studies of electoral democracy.
Meteor is a research platform that addresses the increasing demand for text analysis tools and training resources among the social science community interested in using political texts. OPTED Meteor organises and links these resources in a systematic way that makes them easy to search, easy to access and easy to utilise. Additionally, it has detailed information on European news sources, including print, social media, and media organisations.
AmCAT (Amsterdam Content Analysis Toolkit) is a free, open-source infrastructure for conducting both automatic and manual content (text) analysis, intended especially for social sciences and humanities. It facilitates management of large content analysis projects by providing document storage, viewing, and project organization. Its open design allows users to integrate extensions, scripts, or web services to enhance functionality.
The HarDIS project will create a community-based, sustainable, scalable, and FAIR linkage key database. It will enhance the integration of new party and voter data into the Party Facts platform. It will also harmonise data, streamlining access for researchers and ensuring long-term collaboration in democracy studies.
